Night of Museums 2021

The Aquincum Museum is taking part in the Night of Museums in 2021 as well. On Saturday, 26 June we are organising a wide range of special events from 4pm until Midnight. Please note that all events will be in Hungarian!

16:00-19:00 Arts and crafts (make your own clay galley [600 HUF], felt earring or necklace [600 HUF], floral pin [600 HUF], Sol Invictus headdress [900 HUF])
16:00-21:00 Gladiatorial games for children 
16:00-23:00 Visit the camp of the re-enactors
16:00-24:00 One artefact – One question RELOADED!. Pop-up exibition and quiz (in HU)
16:30-17:00 Inauguration of magistrates (by re-enactors) (in HU)
17:00-18:00 Guided tour of the temporary exhibition ‘A 7000-year-old message. Remains of the Neolithic world in and around Budapest’ (in HU)
17:00-17:45 Guided tour of the Hercules villa (in HU)
17:30-18:15 Become an ancient engineer! – interactive guided tour of the temporary exhibtion ‘Ingenious inventions – Innovative ideas’ for school pupils (in HU)
17:30-18:30 The sky and earth of Mithras (lecture in HU)
18:00-18:30 Fifteen billboards outside Aquincum (lecture in HU)

21:00-23:30 Fortune telling from herbs (in HU)
21:00-23:30 Presentation by the Hungarian Astronomical Association (in HU)
22:00-22:30 The Pannonian festival of the summer solstice – presentation by the re-enactors and divination (in HU)
22:45-23:45 The Archaeological Park by torchlight (nighttime guided tour, in HU)

Tickets:
Adults: 1500 HUF
Children (6-18 years): 800 Ft
Free entry for children under 6 years of age.
