The Aquincum Museum and the Friends of Aquincum will hold a Vinalia wine festival in the Archaeological Park of the Aquincum Museum on 11 September 2016 (11:00-18:00).
The opening event of the Óbuda Gastro Weeks, the Vinalia revives the ancient Roman festival of the wine harvest. The event will include between 11:00 and 18:00 a crafts fair, wine tasting, crafts activities, mythological tales for younger visitors (in Hungarian) and a play “The adventures of the God of wines” (in Hungarian) for older visitors. During the event, re-enactors of the Legio X Gemina will introduce visitors to the daily lives of the legionaires. Visitors can also sample typical harvest dishes.

Dance artist students (modern dance specialisation) of the Hungarian Dance Academy, led by Katalin Lőrinc, will present their dance show at 11:00.
