Military Town amphitheatre is temporarily closed.

The Military Town amphitheatre in southern Óbuda (1036 Budapest between Nagyszombat, Pacsirtamező, Viador and Szőlő Streets) is currently closed. The owner and manager of the monument, the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. informed the museum of the following:
“The condition of the structures on the heritage site requires conservation given that the ruin’s walls and structure have become loose in a number of places. To avoid any risks of danger, the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. has surveyed the condition of the site, determined the necessary actions together with heritage protection and closed the site, placing warning signs around it. Our contractor has already started work on actions which do not require a construction/heritage permit. Actions requiring a permit can begin following the preparatory planning stage and the completion of the permit request procedure.
