UPDATE: The Aquincum Museum’s exhibition venues are re-opening to the public on Saturday, 20 June 2020. Visits are no longer restricted to time-slots, and you can also buy your tickets at the cashier’s desk. On 23 June, we are returning to our usual summer opening hours and ticket prices. As lockdown restrictions have been eased, as of Saturday 23 May 2020 – keeping the health and safety of our visitors and staff the priority – the Archaeological Park, the Baths Museum, and the Hercules Villa are partially open!
Until further notice, we are unable to receive groups (this does not apply to those living in the same household).
We ask visitors to keep the 1.5-metre distance as they enter, leave and while they are on museum premises. Visitors can only enter wearing a mask (the museum does not provide masks).
Aquincum Museum and Archaeological Park
For now, only the Archaeological Park is open to visitors. The exhibition halls, the protective buildings as well as the House of the painter and the Symphorus mithraeum remain closed. No more than 38 people each hour can enter the Archaeological Park. The visit cannot exceed 2 hours.
Adults must wear masks at the Mythological playground. Hand sanitisers can be found at the entrance and the toilet.
Opening hours: Visitors can now visit the Archaeological Park Tuesday-Sunday, 09:00-18:00, in two-hour time slots without age-based restrictions.
Tickets can be purchased exclusively online, on Jegymester.hu.
Ticket prices: Adult: 1500 HUF, Student/youth/pensioner: 650 HUF
The usual discounts apply. Those eligible for free admission (e.g. EEA citizens over the age of 70, 3rd district residents, or students of 3rd district educational institutions) must book a free ticket on Jegymester.hu for the time slot during which they wish to visit. Proof of eligibility must be presented in all cases upon entry.

Baths Museum
Visitors can now visit the Baths Museum Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00-18:00, in one-hour time slots without age-based restrictions, free of charge, without prior registration. No more than 23 people each hour can enter the Baths Museum. The Schönvisner hall remains closed. The visit cannot exceed 1 hour.
Hercules Villa
Visitors can now visit the Hercules Villa Wednesday-Sunday, 10:00-18:00, in half-hour time slots without age-based restrictions, free of charge, without prior registration. No more than 15 people each half-hour can enter the Hercules Villa. The protective buildings and the toilet remain closed. The visit cannot exceed ½ hour.
