Aquincum hits the road!

Between 23 September and 10 November 2019 the Aquincum Museum hits the road! The purpose of the travelling museum is to give primary and secondary school pupils, for whom it would otherwise be impossible or very difficult to visit the museum, an opportunity to learn about the Roman heritage of the capital. Only available in Hungarian.
Samhain – Celtic Halloween 2019

31 October marks the final day of our temporary exhibition "The People of Dragons and Birds - The Celts of Csepel Island". Hence, from 17:00 we are organising a Celtic Halloween at the Aquincum Museum.
Barbarian Family Day 2019

In the spirit of this year’s prehistoric theme at the museum, on 6 October 2019 between 10:00 and 18:00 the Aquincum Museum’s Archaeological Park will host native Celtic and Germanic warriors and craftsmen, who will give visitors a peek into their daily lives.
Re-enactment Workshop III

Professional forum at the Aquincum Museum on 5 October 2019, 10:00-17:00. The aim of the workshop is to create a personal platform for archaeologists in our and other institutions, as well as re-enactors and museum education specialists and, of course, visitors. Our main subject: questions of ancient clothing and accessories. The workshop will be in Hungarian.
The Roman heritage of Óbuda

On 20 and 27 October 2019, Aquincum Museum members of staff take participants on a guided tour in Óbuda, of what was once the Aquincum Civil and Military Town (in Hungarian).
